Responsibilities

  • Analyzes operational and quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Leads continuous improvement activities using Lean and Six Sigma principles (effective application of SPC techniques, VSM, 5S, Kaizen events, among others, in a manufacturing environment)
  • Works closely with Quality department to ensure implemented improvements are in compliance with ISO standards
  • Work with Operations team to review available data (i.e. scrap, OEE, downtime) and apply knowledge to generate continuous improvement projects designed to meet agreed-upon targets and timelines
  • Drive root cause and problem-solving initiatives within a cross-functional team approach to resolve both internal and external quality related concerns

Qualifications

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with minimum 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Recognized training in Lean/Six Sigma process improvement principles
  • Able to organize, plan, and implement improvement (CAPEX) projects of various sizes and scope
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, and relationship building skills
